Warranty Policy
Covered under Warranty
The warranty for the product extends for a period of 36 months for official units, commencing from the date of activation.
- 1st Year: Hardware, software, and service charges are fully covered.
- 2nd and 3rd Years: Only service charges and software are covered. Other costs, such as logistic costs (500 Rupees) and spare parts, are to be paid by the customer.
This warranty covers the handsets only. Allied accessories such as batteries, chargers, or headphones are not covered under this warranty.
Not Covered under Warranty
This warranty is subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Any defect arising due to misuse of the device, liquid ingress, physical damage, or normal wear and tear is not covered by this warranty.
- The warranty is void if the unit is tampered with, altered, or repaired by an unauthorized party, or if the warranty seal on the unit is broken.
- The warranty will also be void if the IMEI of the unit is deleted, tampered with, or altered, making it difficult to identify the product.
- Damages caused to the unit by accidents, short circuits, burns due to power failure or severe voltage surges are not covered under this warranty.
- The box with the serial number must be preserved during the warranty period.
- The customer is required to present the warranty card when handing over the unit for repair or maintenance under warranty.
Conditions Apply:
- Defective products can be reported at Mi/Xiaomi authorized Service Centres within 3 years of the activation date/POP invoice.
- If the product has a software issue, only the Mi Customer Care Centre will update the software using the official Mi flash tool and tested ROM/firmware.
- Each claim will be entertained if it fulfills the warranty policy and there is no damage, burn, tampering, liquid damage, third-party repair, or misuse by the customer.
- The CRO/Technical personnel will disassemble the device before submitting the claim. If any symptoms not covered under the warranty criteria are found, the customer will be informed accordingly.
- The Mi Customer Care Centre will fix the device within the given time period. However, exceptional cases such as PNA (Part Not Available) or awaiting approval may cause delays, which will be communicated to the customer.
- A 10-day replacement offer applies only to new purchases; the invoice date will be considered (the complete box and accessories must be included).
Replacement will be applicable in two conditions:
- The product is faulty on delivery, i.e., it is not functioning properly.
- The product delivered is incorrect, i.e., it differs from the product ordered.
In the case of incorrect product delivery, the product must be unused, packed, and its seal must be intact to be replaced. The product will not be replaced if the customer opens the seal and uses the product.
Replacement handsets may be new or slightly used, depending on the warranty category, such as DOA/IW/OW, etc. Mi Customer Care CRO is authorized to void the warranty if the device is found to be bent, drop-damaged, or liquid-damaged. A bill of purchase is mandatory for in-warranty claims; no accessories should be submitted along with the device. For out-of-warranty/damaged cases, the customer must pay the spare part costs and service charges to the service centre (Lab/Technical staff can fix/return any device if they find any PCB failure inside). The customer is responsible for saving their data, as the device may need to be flashed depending on the nature of the fault, such as dead, restart, boot-up issues, or device hanging.
For warranty card refreshes, customers or dealers can inform one of the Sales Executives/Area Sales Managers or After Sales Service representatives. Customers can dispatch their defective devices directly to the Head Office from outstations where Mi Customer Care Centres are not operational.
Mi Eco Products – Ren Solutions Warranty Policy
Our Eco Products come with a 10-day replacement and refund warranty and a 3-month after-sales warranty.
- Replacement and Refund Warranty: Valid only for the first 10 days.
- Replacement will be applicable in two conditions:
- The product is faulty on delivery, i.e., it is not functioning properly.
- The product delivered is incorrect, i.e., it differs from the product ordered.
In the case of incorrect product delivery, the product must be unused, packed, and its seal must be intact to be replaced. The product will not be replaced if the customer opens the seal and uses the product.
After 10 days, the customer can claim after-sales warranty in case the product has been damaged or is not performing as expected. In this case, Ren Solutions will provide repair services; however, the customer will have to bear the spare parts and logistic costs of the repair.
List of Products and Their Warranty Periods
Under the prescribed warranty policy, Ren Solutions may replace or repair the accessory as long as it is under warranty and shows no:
- Sign of physical abuse, broken or tampered parts
- Liquid/moisture damage or water damage
- Severe burns due to lightning strikes or short circuits, etc.
- Damage caused by use with non-Xiaomi accessories
- Damage caused by accidents, floods, fires, earthquakes, or other external causes
- Modifications to any part of the product
Replacement products may be new or slightly used. Whether defective items or components are replaced or repaired is at the sole discretion of Ren Solutions. No Xiaomi reseller, dealer, or employee is authorized to make any modifications, extensions, or additions to this limited warranty.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
Please follow the steps below to return an accessory for a refund or warranty replacement:
- Call the Ren Solutions Customer Support Line (Mi Store) at 03111111050 or email info.slt.com.pk. We are available to answer all your queries from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our representative will provide instructions on where to send your accessory for repair or replacement.
- When we receive the in-warranty product, we will send you a replacement free of charge.
Important Information
Ren Solutions assesses each warranty case individually and reserves the right to pass final judgment on a case-by-case basis. Acceptance or rejection of the warranty is at the sole discretion of the company. Ren Solutions does not cover the cost of shipping/couriering damaged or misused items to our service centre; however, we will ship replacements to the customer at no cost. We recommend using a traceable shipping method (TCS, Call Courier, Leopard, Trax, etc.); we are not responsible for any lost or damaged items during shipment to the service centre/Mi Store.
Depending on the availability of the product, we will send the replacement accessory/product within 5–10 business days. The warranty on the replacement accessory is valid for the remainder of the warranty on the original product.
